DesignPhiladelphia is a city-wide celebration honoring the historic role of design in the city while focusing on the future of creativity yet to come. The cultural initiative will partner with The University of the Arts for the nation’s largest festival of its kind.
During the festival approximately 200,000 people, artists, students, professionals and design lovers come to explore the world of design attending over 150 events held throughout the city including fashion, interior design, multi-media and urban planning. ‘DesignPhiladelphia aims to celebrate and promote Philadelphia as a design capital and destination.’ The events will include everything from exhibitions, lectures, demonstrations and workshops. The best part is most are free and open to the public!!
