Designers show the unexpected is expected on day 2 of Baltimore Fashion Week
Baltimore Fashion Week continues on Friday, August 19, 2011 showcasing avant garde collections.
PRLog (Press Release) - Aug 12, 2011 - Baltimore Fashion Week 2011 will feature the most notable designers locally, nationally and internationally. Its second production day entitled “the UNexpected is EXPECTED in FASHION” will feature some of the most outrageous and grandiose avant garde garments. In addition to featuring local designers, Chicago, D.C., Pennsylvania and the United Kingdom will be represented.
Opening designer Bozena Carter, who hails from the UK, will present the Bo Carter collection for Spring/Summer 2011.
She will be followed by designer Courtney M. Robert’s The Coldest Winter who will showcase her collection.
Edward Harvey will present his take on Fall/Winter 2011 with the Sylvia Collection.
The Fall/Winter 2011 and Spring/Summer 2012 looks for Rouche’ International Couture by Rose Jalloh will be featured on the runway.
Chicago designer Carolyn Malone will showcase her Spring/Summer 2012 line, Brick Malone.
Pennsylvania designer Alana Robin will also present her Spring/Summer 2012 line, Bellevisage “funky sophistication.”
The Fall/Winter 2011 Faye Leon collection by DC designer Kim Dixon will follow.
Elley Gene by Pennsylvania designer Lj Greene will also present its Spring/Summer 2012 line.
Wyntress Hill’s Pieces of Me will showcase its Fall/Winter 2011 line.
SSK Fashion Designs by Rhonda Allen will present its collection.
Designer Sharday Gregory will showcase her Fall/Winter line entitled Splatter of Fashion.
A People United will close out the show for the evening presenting its Fall/Winter 2011 collection, showcasing pieces by Founding Head Designer Robert Gruber and Wholesale Design Team Member/Lead Stylist Kimberli Lagree-Simmons.
“We knew the avant garde showcase would be great,” Nixon stated, “but we had no clue the designers would show off this much. Between the models they chose and the garments to appear on the runway, this showcase will be fabulous.”
Baltimore Fashion Week will host its official launch party—“the MYSTIQUE GALA”—Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at the Holiday Inn—Inner Harbor. Designers will be in attendance and available to be interviewed by members of the press. Baltimore Fashion Week will run Thursday, August 18, 2011 through Sunday, August 21, 2011.
